Nothing To Fear is Oingo Boingo’s 1982 studio album, written by Danny Elfman and produced by the band with Joe Chiccarelli. The album includes “Private Life,” “Grey Matter,” and “Nothing To Fear (But Fear Itself),” combining the group’s new wave songwriting with its prominent horn section and percussion-heavy arrangements. It was recorded at Cherokee Studios and mixed at Sound Castle Recorders in Los Angeles.

Collector Note
This 1987 U.S. reissue on A&M Records / I.R.S. Records carries catalog number SP-3251 and uses the silver/gold A&M center labels with the I.R.S. logo. The “R” plant code and Indianapolis-style runout stamp identify this edition as an RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis pressing, with lacquer cutting credited to Artisan Sound Recorders. Track A3 is the shortened 3:18 version of “Private Life.”
