Why This Record Matters
Band On The Run was recorded largely by Paul McCartney, Linda McCartney, and Denny Laine, with Paul producing and Geoff Emerick engineering. The album includes “Band On The Run,” “Jet,” “Let Me Roll It,” and the US edition’s “Helen Wheels.” Tony Visconti provided orchestration, with additional contributions from Ginger Baker, Remi Kabaka, and Howie Casey.

This 1973 US Apple Records SO-3415 stereo LP was pressed at Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Winchester, identified by the • ─◁ markings in the supplied runouts. Both sides carry MASTERED BY CAPITOL and Wly markings identifying Wally Traugott’s Capitol mastering work, and this copy includes the confirmed original inner sleeve.
