Why This CD Matters
Spellbound was Paula Abdul’s second studio album and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, continuing the commercial success established by Forever Your Girl. The album produced the No. 1 singles “Rush Rush” and “The Promise Of A New Day,” along with “Blowing Kisses In The Wind” and “Vibeology.” Its production combines dance-pop, house, contemporary R&B, and ballad material, with Peter Lord and V. Jeffrey Smith producing much of the album.

Collector Note
This is the 1991 U.S. BMG Direct Marketing club edition of Spellbound on Virgin, catalog number 2-91611, with BMG club number D 173320 printed on the CD face. This edition was glass-mastered at Denon Digital Industries. The release notes that songs were mixed using QSound and that the music was originally recorded on analog equipment.
