Why This Record Matters
Somethin's Happening is Peter Frampton’s third solo studio album and includes “Doobie Wah,” “I Wanna Go To The Sun,” and “Baby (Somethin's Happening).” Frampton produced the album and handled guitar, keyboards, percussion, and vocals, with Rick Wills on bass and Nicky Hopkins contributing piano to two tracks. The album was recorded at Olympic Studios, Island Studios, and Headley Grange.

This 1974 U.S. A&M Records SP-3619 LP is a Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman pressing, identified by the stamped “P” in the supplied runout. The Side B runout carries the STERLING stamp, and this copy includes the original custom photo inner sleeve.
