The Singles gathers Pretenders recordings from their late-1970s emergence through the mid-1980s, documenting the songwriting and vocals of Chrissie Hynde across the band’s most commercially prominent period. The 16-track collection includes “Brass In Pocket,” “Message Of Love,” “Back On The Chain Gang,” “Middle Of The Road,” “2000 Miles,” and “Don't Get Me Wrong.” It closes with UB40 and Chrissie Hynde’s recording of “I Got You Babe,” extending the collection beyond the Pretenders’ own singles.
