Why This Record Matters
Procol Harum’s sixth studio album expands the band’s progressive-rock sound with orchestral and choral arrangements composed by Gary Brooker. Produced by Chris Thomas, the album features the title suite alongside “Bringing Home The Bacon” and “Fires (Which Burnt Brightly).”
Collector Note
Original 1973 US Terre Haute pressing with green Chrysalis labels and a gatefold cover. The etched “T” in the runouts identifies Columbia Records Pressing Plant in Terre Haute, and this copy includes the original inner sleeve.
