Why This Record Matters
The Flowers Of Romance is Public Image Ltd.’s third studio album and marked a further move away from conventional rock structures toward percussion-heavy experimental and post-punk music. John Lydon and Keith Levene wrote much of the material, with Martin Atkins also receiving writing credits on several tracks. The album reached the UK Top 20, while its title track became a UK Top 30 single.

This 1981 US Warner Bros. BSK 3536 edition was pressed by Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Winchester, identified by the supplied Winchester markings in the etched runouts. The top-opening outer sleeve uses the period Warner Bros. label design, and this copy includes the confirmed original lyric inner sleeve.
