Rising is Rainbow’s second studio album and features the lineup of Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Cozy Powell, Jimmy Bain, and Tony Carey. Produced by Martin Birch, the album includes “Stargazer,” which combines the band with orchestration performed by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. The six-track album became a defining recording of the Blackmore-Dio era of Rainbow.
