Ray Charles – The Spirit Of Christmas (Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Stereo, 2022, Tangerine Records – TRC-2126-1)

Why This Record Matters
Recorded in 1985, Ray Charles’s only Christmas album pairs his soulful interpretations of holiday standards with original material. “That Spirit of Christmas” later appeared in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Collector Note
This 2022 Tangerine Records remastered stereo LP brought the album back to vinyl after it had been unavailable for more than a decade. The supplied release credits Bernie Grundman with mastering and lacquer cutting.
