Why This Record Matters
No Earthly Connection is Rick Wakeman’s 1976 studio album with The English Rock Ensemble, centered on the multipart “Music Reincarnate” suite. Wakeman composed, wrote, and produced the album, with Ashley Holt on vocals, Roger Newell on bass, and Tony Fernandez on drums. The album was recorded at Le Château d'Hérouville in France during January, February, and March 1976.

Collector Note
This is the 1976 U.S. A&M Records SP-4583 stereo LP pressed at Columbia Records’ Pitman plant, with Monarch plating also identified in the supplied runouts. The distinctive sleeve artwork was designed to be viewed through a cylindrical piece of reflective Chrome Mylar, creating an unskewed reflection of the cover image's distortion. This copy includes the confirmed original inner sleeve.
