Why This CD Matters
Detours reunited Sheryl Crow with Bill Bottrell, producer of her breakthrough album Tuesday Night Music Club, with Bottrell producing, engineering, and mixing the record. The album includes “Shine Over Babylon,” “Love Is Free,” and “Out Of Our Heads,” while its writing addresses personal relationships alongside broader social and political themes. Doug Sax handled the primary mastering at The Mastering Lab, adding another notable studio credit to the project.

This 2008 US A&M Records edition carries catalog number B0010599-02 and comes in the album's distinctive cardboard gatefold presentation. This copy is identified by the mould text MADE IN USA BY UML, distinguishing its manufacturing from other US variations of Detours.
