Why This Record Matters
Propaganda was Sparks’ second album of 1974, following Kimono My House during the band’s breakthrough Island Records period. Ron Mael’s writing and keyboards and Russell Mael’s vocals anchor a compact set that includes “Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth” and “Something For The Girl With Everything.” Muff Winwood produced the album, continuing the collaboration established on Kimono My House.
