Spirit Of '76 marked Spirit’s return to a major-label album release with Randy California and Ed Cassidy at the center of the group. The double LP combines original material with interpretations of Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone,” “Hey, Joe,” and other American songbook material, with California handling production as well as vocals and instrumentation.
