Why This CD Matters
Argybargy helped establish the Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook songwriting partnership through songs including “Pulling Mussels (From The Shell)” and “Another Nail In My Heart.” The album captures Squeeze’s blend of concise pop songwriting and new wave arrangements during the band’s early period with Jools Holland on keyboards. John Wood co-produced and mixed the album with Squeeze, which was recorded at Olympic Studios in London.
