Journey To Love is Stanley Clarke’s third solo album and a defining recording from the 1970s jazz-fusion movement. Produced by Clarke and Ken Scott, the album features contributions from George Duke, Steve Gadd, Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, David Sancious, and an extensive brass ensemble. “Song To John” was composed as a tribute to John Coltrane.
Collector Note
Original 1975 US Presswell pressing on Nemperor Records, catalog number NE 433, distributed by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios, mastered by George Piros at Atlantic Studios, and includes the original Queens Litho inner sleeve.
