Why This Record Matters
Beginnings is Steve Howe’s 1975 debut solo album, recorded while he was guitarist for Yes and produced by Howe with Eddie Offord. The sessions include fellow Yes musicians Alan White and Patrick Moraz, along with former Yes drummer Bill Bruford. Howe uses the album to explore progressive rock, acoustic guitar-based pieces, orchestration, and classical-influenced arrangements.
