Steve Winwood – Higher Love (12" 45 RPM Maxi-Single, 1986, Island Records 608 317, Europe)

Why This Record Matters
“Higher Love” was the lead single from Steve Winwood’s 1986 album Back in the High Life and became his first solo No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. Written by Winwood and Will Jennings, it became one of the defining commercial recordings of his solo career. This maxi-single pairs the extended 7:45 remix with a 6:05 instrumental version and “And I Go.”

Collector Note
This 1986 European 12" 45 RPM maxi-single was issued by Island Records as catalog number 608 317 and pressed by Sonopress. The three-track configuration provides both the extended remix and instrumental of “Higher Love,” with “And I Go” on the B-side.
