Why This Record Matters
Tanx is T. Rex’s 1973 studio album, written by Marc Bolan and produced by Tony Visconti. The record followed the group’s major glam-rock breakthrough period and includes “Born To Boogie,” “Broken Hearted Blues,” and “The Street & Babe Shadow.” Its arrangements broaden the group’s sound while retaining Bolan’s compact songwriting and guitar-centered style.

Collector Note
This 1973 US Reprise Records MS 2132 stereo edition was pressed by Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman. The supplied variant 2 runouts carry the stamped P associated with Pitman and the MS-2132 31552 / 31553 matrices. The US edition was issued in a Unipak-style Ivy Duo-Pak sleeve.
