Why This Record Matters
Temple Of The Dog was formed after the death of Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood, and its self-titled album became a tribute shaped by members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Chris Cornell’s “Hunger Strike,” featuring Eddie Vedder, and the expansive “Reach Down” are highlights of its grunge-era sound. This 2016 anniversary edition presents a new mix by Brendan O’Brien.
Collector Note
This US A&M Records edition is a 2016, 140-gram black vinyl LP with the album’s original ten-track sequence. It was issued for the album’s 25th anniversary with a new mix by Brendan O’Brien.
