Why This CD Matters
Songs From The Westside is a progressive and melodic rock project built around multi-instrumentalist Carl Kennedy, with Glenn Hughes providing vocals on much of the album. Guitarists Ian Crichton of Saga and session musician Tim Pierce also contribute to the recording, giving the project a notable lineup of established rock musicians. The eight-track program includes an interpretation of Fleetwood Mac’s “Hypnotized” and closes with an instrumental version of “Right Before My Eyes.”

Collector Note
This U.S. LedSled Music LLC edition carries catalog number LS-6969 and was issued in small quantities rather than as a broadly distributed major-label release. The project was originally issued in a limited run of 1,000 copies, followed by an additional limited pressing, making surviving original LedSled CDs comparatively uncommon in the secondary market. This edition contains eight tracks and features Glenn Hughes on “Right Before My Eyes,” “'Til The End,” “Full Moon Rising,” “Westside,” and “Taboo.”
