Why This Record Matters
Enlightened Rogues marked The Allman Brothers Band’s return to studio recording after their mid-1970s breakup. Produced by Tom Dowd and recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami, the album reunited Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe while adding Dan Toler and David Goldflies. “Crazy Love” became the album’s best-known single.
