Why This CD Matters
Where It All Begins is the Allman Brothers Band’s 1994 studio album and the final studio release from the group’s 1990s comeback period with producer Tom Dowd. The album includes “Soulshine,” “No One To Run With,” and the extended title track “Back Where It All Begins,” all of which became associated with the band’s later live repertoire. The sessions were recorded with the band performing together in a live-in-the-studio setup, capturing the interplay of Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes, Allen Woody, Butch Trucks, Jaimoe, and Marc Quiñones.

Collector Note
This U.S. Epic Best Value reissue carries catalog number EK 64232 and retains the original ten-track album program. The album was produced by longtime Allman Brothers collaborator Tom Dowd and originally released in 1994. It features the established 1990s twin-guitar partnership of Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes, with Gregg Allman on vocals and keyboards.
