The Cars – The Cars (Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, 1978, Elektra 6E-135, Specialty Pressing, Sterling Cut)

Why This Record Matters
The Cars was the band's 1978 debut album and introduced the combination of guitar-driven rock, new wave and synthesizers that defined their early catalog. The album includes “Good Times Roll,” “My Best Friend's Girl,” “Just What I Needed,” “You're All I've Got Tonight” and “Moving In Stereo.” Produced by Roy Thomas Baker and mastered by George Marino, the album became a major commercial success and remained on the Billboard album chart for more than two years.
