Why This Record Matters
Get In Trouble documents The Decentz, a Vermont new wave band formed in 1981 whose original material incorporated rock, reggae, and ska influences. The six-song release was recorded at Earth Audio Techniques in North Ferrisburg, Vermont in February 1982. The lineup includes Brett Hughes, Jim Ryan, Peter Torrey, Pamela Polston, and pedal steel guitarist Gordon Stone.

Collector Note
This 1982 U.S. Philo Records, Inc. PHEP 001 release contains six tracks produced by Charles Eller. Its Vermont provenance extends from the band itself to the North Ferrisburg recording sessions, making it a distinctly local early-1980s independent release.
