Why This Record Matters
Toulouse Street was the Doobie Brothers’ second album and established the group’s early blend of rock, country and R&B influences. It includes “Listen To The Music,” “Rockin' Down The Highway” and “Jesus Is Just Alright.” Ted Templeman produced the album, with Bill Payne contributing piano and organ.

This 1973 U.S. Warner Bros. Records BS 2634 repress is a Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman pressing identified by the stamped “P” in the runout. It is housed in a gatefold cover, and this copy includes its original inner sleeve. The supplied runouts are BS-2634-A 40218-2 Λ P and BS-2634-B-40219-2.
