Why This Record Matters
L.A. Woman was the final Doors studio album released during Jim Morrison’s lifetime and features “Love Her Madly,” “Riders On The Storm,” and the title track. The album was recorded at The Doors Workshop in Los Angeles and produced by The Doors with Bruce Botnick. Jerry Scheff contributed bass, while Marc Benno played rhythm guitar on several tracks.

This 1971 U.S. Elektra EKS-75011 edition is a Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman pressing with lacquers cut at Artisan Sound Recorders. The supplied CP and Artisan-marked runouts identify this pressing, and the copy retains its original yellow inner sleeve.
