The Jim Carroll Band – Catholic Boy (Vinyl LP, Album, 1980, ATCO Records)

Why This Record Matters
Catholic Boy is the debut album by poet and Basketball Diaries author Jim Carroll’s rock band. Its best-known track, “People Who Died,” turns Carroll’s memories of lost friends into a defining piece of New York punk-era storytelling.
