In Search Of The Lost Chord followed Days of Future Passed and found the Moody Blues creating their psychedelic arrangements largely through their own expanded instrumentation rather than relying on an outside orchestra. Justin Hayward, Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas, John Lodge and Graeme Edge employ instruments including Mellotron, sitar, tabla, flute, cello and harpsichord across the album. The record includes “Ride My See-Saw,” “Legend Of A Mind,” “Voices In The Sky” and the closing “Om.”

This 1968 U.S. Deram DES 18017 stereo edition is a Columbia Terre Haute pressing, identified by the supplied “T” runout marking. The supplied matrices carry Bell Sound and “sf” markings, identifying the Bell Sound Studios lacquer cut and Sam Feldman. This copy is housed in the gatefold cover and includes its original London Records Group inner sleeve.
