The Postal Service – Give Up (Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 2014, Sub Pop – SP 595)

Why This Record Matters
The Postal Service’s only studio album grew from recordings Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello exchanged between California and Washington. Its blend of Gibbard’s songwriting and Tamborello’s electronic production shaped early-2000s indie pop, with “Such Great Heights” and “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” among its best-known tracks.

Collector Note
This 2014 US single-LP reissue uses the 10th-anniversary remastered tapes, according to Sub Pop. It presents the original ten-track album sequence on Sub Pop, catalog number SP 595.
