The Power Station – The Power Station 33⅓ (LP, Album, Jacksonville Pressing, 1985, Capitol Records SJ-12380)

Why This Record Matters
The Power Station brought together Robert Palmer, Duran Duran’s John and Andy Taylor, and Chic drummer Tony Thompson, with Bernard Edwards producing. “Some Like It Hot” and “Bang A Gong (Get It On)” capture the album’s combination of heavy guitar, prominent drums, and funk rhythms.
