Why This Record Matters
Vol. 3: A Child’s Guide To Good & Evil is the band’s fourth album and one of the defining cult releases of late-1960s Los Angeles psychedelia. Its music combines melodic folk rock, experimental studio effects, spoken-word passages, and unsettling social commentary. The iconic cover artwork was created by John Van Hamersveld, with production by Bob Markley and Jimmy Bowen.
