Why This Record Matters
Live At Leeds was recorded at the University of Leeds on February 14, 1970 and became The Who's first live album. The original six-track program captures the band performing material including “Young Man Blues,” “Substitute,” “My Generation” and an extended “Magic Bus.” Released in the US on Decca in May 1970, the album reached No. 4 on the Billboard album chart and became one of the group's major releases of the period.

This is the 1970 US stereo Decca DL 79175 gatefold edition pressed by Decca Records Pressing Plant, Gloversville, identified by the “1” in the supplied runouts. The supplied runouts are 7 12420 1 1 on Side A and 7 12421 2 1 on Side B. This copy includes the original custom plain inner sleeve; the original set of 12 replica inserts has not been confirmed with this copy.
