Fire On The Mountain helped establish the Charlie Daniels Band’s Southern rock and country-rock identity, featuring “Long Haired Country Boy” and “The South’s Gonna Do It.” Produced by Paul Hornsby, the album was recorded primarily at Capricorn Sound Studios in Macon, with live material recorded at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium. Dickey Betts contributes dobro to “Long Haired Country Boy.”

This 1974 U.S. Kama Sutra KSBS 2603 gatefold edition was pressed by Sonic Recording Products, identified by SON in the supplied runouts. Both sides carry STERLING mastering identification. This copy includes the original inner sleeve.
