Todd Rundgren – A Wizard, A True Star (CD, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Rhino Records R2 70864 / Bearsville R2 70864)

Why This CD Matters
A Wizard, A True Star captures Todd Rundgren pushing pop songwriting into psychedelic and progressive territory, moving quickly between short, contrasting pieces. “International Feel” and “Zen Archer” introduce the album’s shifting textures, while the closing “Just One Victory” gives it a more expansive finish. Its playful medley of soul favorites adds another turn to an intentionally unpredictable sequence.
