Produced by Ted Templeman and recorded at Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood, the album includes “Runnin’ With the Devil,” “Eruption,” “You Really Got Me,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ’Bout Love.” Eddie Van Halen’s instrumental “Eruption” became an especially important showcase for his guitar technique and leads directly into the band’s version of “You Really Got Me.”
