Women And Children First is Van Halen’s third studio album and marked a move toward a heavier collection of predominantly band-written material with the original David Lee Roth-era lineup. Produced by Ted Templeman, the album includes “And the Cradle Will Rock...,” “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “Romeo Delight,” and “Take Your Whiskey Home.” The record also broadens the band’s sound with the acoustic “Could This Be Magic?” alongside the harder electric material.

This 1983 U.S. Warner Bros. Records repress carries catalog number HS 3415 and uses the WB “ghost” label design associated with this period. The supplied runouts identify a Specialty Records Corporation pressing using metalwork plated at Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Winchester, with SP identifying Specialty and the Winchester rifle symbol appearing in the runouts. This copy is being offered without the large David Lee Roth poster.
