Why This CD Matters
A Line In The Sand is a Vermont-produced benefit compilation created in support of Iraq Veterans Against the War. Its 18 selections combine political folk, spoken word, hip hop, punk, reggae, and alternative rock. Contributors include Andrea Gibson, David Rovics, Jonah Matranga, Rebel Diaz, The Nightwatchman, Ryan Harvey, Cloud Cult, Breathe Owl Breathe, Will Whitmore, and Public Property.

Collector Note
Wyld Stallions Records founder Bridget Burns assembled this independently released compilation in 2007. The project received a Vermont release event at the Monkey House in Winooski and includes “Desert Sunrise,” a song based on first-person accounts from anti-war veterans who served in Iraq.
