Why This CD Matters
The Shrek 2 soundtrack combines alternative rock, pop, disco, and film performances from Counting Crows, Frou Frou, David Bowie, Dashboard Confessional, Eels, Tom Waits, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and members of the movie’s cast. Counting Crows’ “Accidentally In Love” became the soundtrack’s signature song, while two contrasting versions of “Holding Out For A Hero” frame the album.
