Various – The Land Of Sensations & Delights: The Psych Pop Sounds Of White Whale Records 1965-1970 (2×Vinyl, LP, Record Store Day, Compilation, Stereo, Mono, Gatefold, 2020, White Whale / Craft Recordings CR02396)

Why This Record Matters
This collection surveys the psych-pop and garage-rock corners of White Whale Records from 1965 to 1970, a Los Angeles label that also released the Turtles’ early hits. Its 26 tracks span groups and singles from Professor Morrison’s Lollipop’s “You Got The Love” to J.K. & Co.’s “Land Of Sensations & Delights.” Together, they capture the range of pop hooks, garage sounds, and psychedelic arrangements across the label’s catalog.

Collector Note
Craft’s 2020 US Record Store Day release is a gatefold 2LP compilation, limited to 2,000 copies, with both stereo and mono tracks. Andrew Sandoval compiled and co-produced the set; Discogs credits him with audio restoration, Dan Hersch with mastering, Daniel Krieger with lacquer cutting, and MPO with pressing.
