Contraband is the 2004 debut from Velvet Revolver, bringing Scott Weiland together with former Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum, plus guitarist Dave Kushner. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced the rock hits “Slither,” “Fall To Pieces,” and “Dirty Little Thing.” “Slither” earned the band the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance.

Collector Note
This US RCA edition carries catalog number 82876 59794-2 and combines the standard 13-track album with enhanced MediaMax content. The disc was manufactured by Cinram in Richmond, Indiana, with glass-mastering number C40512-07, while George Marino mastered the album at Sterling Sound. This copy also has the black Contraband slipcover shown with the jewel case, one of the different slipcover colors issued with the album.
