Why This Record Matters
Why Dontcha is the 1972 debut from West, Bruce & Laing, bringing together former Cream bassist Jack Bruce with Mountain guitarist Leslie West and drummer Corky Laing. Produced by the trio with Andy Johns, the album combines heavy blues rock with the distinctive playing styles established by their previous groups.
Collector Note
US Columbia/Windfall Pitman pressing with Customatrix plating and lacquers cut at Sterling Sound by Lee Hulko. The STERLING LH markings appear on both sides, while the Pitman identifiers in the runouts confirm the pressing plant.
