Wet Willie – Dixie Rock (LP, Album, US, 1975, Capricorn Records CP 0149)

Why This Record Matters
Dixie Rock followed Wet Willie’s breakthrough Keep On Smilin’ and brought the band’s Southern rock together with gospel and R&B influences. “Leona” and the title track showcase the group’s Southern funk and rock sound, while the Williettes’ backing vocals add a strong gospel presence.
