Front Page News captures Wishbone Ash’s late-1970s lineup of Andy Powell, Laurie Wisefield, Martin Turner, and Steve Upton, with the band’s twin-guitar approach presented in a more streamlined song-oriented setting. Howard and Ron Albert produced the album, while Hipgnosis handled the sleeve design and photography. “Goodbye Baby Hello Friend” was also issued as a single from the album.

This 1977 U.S. MCA-2311 edition is a Pinckneyville pressing, identified by the ◈-P-◈ marks in the supplied runouts. Both sides carry JB identification for mastering engineer John Blanche. The release is housed in a gatefold sleeve, and this copy retains its original inner sleeve.
